This hotel met needs, we recommend to all. Everything was nice - central location and good service. The restaurant here was particularly good with great food and service, we both ordered savoury dishes. Had complimentary drinks in the main bar in the evening.

The staff - some of them were quite busy.

It has knowledgeable employees with three different receptionists. The beds are comfy to sleep on.

I loved how close this hotel was to Vondelpark. Walking to the nearby Rijksmuseum was so convenient and made for an very nice afternoon of art exploration.

The massive bed bug infestation forced me to leave in the middle of the night, marking this as my worst travel experience. The hotel's management was unresponsive regarding my security deposit issue.

I was disappointed by the cramped room size and the communal bathrooms that lacked privacy, making it quite uncomfortable at times.

I stayed for 4 nights in the Secret Bookcase XL. The staff were lovely and helpful. The cocktails at the bar were excellent. Dining in the restaurant was a highlight, especially the Thai food. The location was convenient for exploring.

I was appalled by the poor ventilation in our room. The air quality was so stuffy that it felt suffocating, and the noisy ventilation system only added to the frustration. The communal bathrooms were inadequately stocked with essentials. It was utterly unacceptable that the designer of the room apparently never experienced the discomfort it imparted.

Amenities often felt lacking-don't expect coffee makers or storage space within the tiny rooms, which might be a real inconvenience for longer stays.

I stayed in the Secret Bookcase M room for 3 nights. It had a shared bathroom with consistent hot water and was always clean. The unique design was super cool. Staff were amazing at giving local tips, and the bar's cocktails were on point. The whole vibe was cozy and lovely!
